Yey.JPG

This sandwich is the perfect balance of spicy, tangy, and savory. A flavor-packed delight.

Supplies

You will need:

  • Ciabatta Bread
  • Provolone Cheese (2-3 slices)
  • Spicy Pepperoni (3-5 slices)
  • Capicola (Or other Italian meat)
  • Pepperoncinis
  • Red Wine Vinegar
  • Italian Seasoning (Oregano works too)

Gather Your Indgredients

Gather the ingredients mentioned in the supplies section of this instructable.

Slice Your Bread

Cut your Ciabatta into two pieces so you can fill the sandwich.

Add Your Cheese

Add the Provolone Cheese to your bread. Melting the cheese is optional. I recommend adding 2-3 slices.

Add the Meat (Part 1)

Add your pepperoni or spicy meat. Go heavy so you can get lots of layers of meat. I recommend using 3-5 slices.

Add Your Meat (Part 2)

Add your second meat. I chose Capicola. What you choose is up to you.

Add Your Lettuce

Add a layer of lettuce on top of the meat. This will give the sandwich a lighter, more fresh tone. Iceberg Lettuce is preferable, but other types like Romaine will work too.

Add Pepperoncinis

Pepperoncinis are my favorite ingredient in the sandwich. They are very bold, spicy, and crunchy. Put on a big helping, but not so much they will sog out the bread.

Add Vinegar

A splash of Red Wine Vinegar, along with the pepperoncinis, gives this sandwich acidity that it needs.

Add Seasoning

Add Italian Seasoning or Oregano to the top of your sandwich. Adds more Italian flavor.

Enjoy!
