This recipe is good for parties if you want a quick and easy appetizer. It is a hit at all of our events with family and friends. You can adjust the heat by adding more or less spices and peppers. You can even make the filling ahead of time then bake it all together when you need it.

There are many different ways to make the chicken but today I just put chicken breasts in the slow cooker on low and left it for the day. Once I got home from school and practice I just took it out and shredded it using a fork. (If you don't feel like cooking the chicken you can also just buy it canned from the store.)

Gather Your Ingredients

What you will need for the filling:

  • wonton wraps
  • 8oz of cream cheese
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of finely diced red pepper
  • 1 finely diced jalapeño
  • 1/4 cup of finely diced onion
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Kick'n Chicken®

Other supplies:

  • A medium sized cutting board
  • A medium sized mixing bowl
  • 1 large spoon
  • any type of non-stick spray
  • two mini muffin baking tray

After you have made your chicken you will need to gather all of your ingredients. Once you have done that you can start to prepare your peppers and onions. Now you can start to put everything in the bowl. (there is no specific order, just toss it all in)

Mixing It Together

After you have everything in your bowl you can start folding everything together. I recommend using a spoon but you can use whatever feels best to you! While you are mixing everything together try your best not to squish the peppers but if you do its no big deal, don't stress. Once you are done mixing it should look something like this. Now you can prepare your wonton wraps.

Making the Wrap

Place about a tablespoon of filling into the middle of the wonton wrap and bring the sides up. You don't have to close them all the way and the filling does not need to be in the exact center of the wonton wrap. Once you have done this you can go ahead and place that into the mini muffin tray and bake at 350 degrees.

Enjoy!

After about 20-25 minutes in the oven or until they are just a little bit golden brown at the tips you can take them out and let them cool for a few minutes. Once they have cooled you can serve plain or garnish with sour cream. Bon appetite!
