Description
Spectre_8 Is a Droid designed in reference to the gyroscopic technology seen in bb8 with internal counterbalancing spherical wheels. The Droid is designed with most of the weight focused on the bottom to ensure proper balance of the vertical design. Spectre_8's aggressive tire design is made for all-terrain performance. The gyro wheel brackets and head are made of a Beskar steel unibody. Wheel bracket bolts are 1/2" x 13 x 3" Metric bolts with acorn nuts.
Backstory:
Spectro_08 Was an imperial combat droid that was damaged in battle and was reprogrammed and brought back to life by The Rebel Alliance. He now serves as a surveillance droid that roams around the desert where a rebellion base is located. The droid is capable of sending radio signals to the base when it sees suspicious, movement and has rotating laser shooters on its sides to deter any scavengers or any threats that may come it's way. Spectre_8 also has full access head movement that can rotate its head up, down, and left to right. It also has a single lens capable of zooming in 100x and can look up to the sky and see shuttles coming even before they hit the atmosphere. I wanted to make this doid have some humor that I incorporated in the animation and sound design just like R2D2 had.
