Special Light for Water

Have you ever looked for a coaster, wondering where they were? I have the fix. When you put your glass down in this, it will look like the water is glowing a certain color. Have fun!

Supplies

LED any color, 1 AA battery, 1 AA battery holder, spring, tin foil, wires, cup holder, see through cup, soldering station, and glue gun.

Soldering

Put the batteries in the battery holder. Take two wires and solder pieces of tin foil to the end of them. Connect the end of one of those wires to the LED. Connect the other one to the battery. Finally, connect the battery with the LED. Try touching the tin foil together. If it works, the LED should glow. Solder the whole circuit.

Drilling and Building the Base

Drill a hole the size of the LED top in the center of cup holder. Glue a spring to one of the tin foil pieces. Make sure they don't touch. Glue the spring near the sides on the bowl. Cut out a circle piece of cardboard the size of the inside of the bowl. Make a tiny hole in the center of it for the light. Glue the last tin foil piece on the bottom of the cardboard piece, on top of the other tin foil piece. They should not touch because the spring holds it up. put the cup on it. The tin foil pieces should touch, making the light go. You now can either make a cool looking sign the the battery is on the back, or just put the battery behind the bowl.

Thank you for making this. Hope you have fun with it!
