I liked my first Special Effects Tote Bag so much that I made one for myself. (My original black and white one was for a friend.) The pattern is featured in Jan/Feb '08 Crochet Today! Magazine, and I used Red Heart Super Saver: Burgundy, and Red Heart Super Saver: Black for the colors, along with a size H/8 crochet hook. It is made from 8 square motifs and two handle sides all whipstitched together. It's fast, easy, and fun to make! It took me about 2 days to make. For me, each motif square took about an hour (however, some took less time than that), but it sewed up quickly.
