Spare Bananas Saving

IMAG0321.jpg

Tesco almost trow those away so I decided to get them nearly free.

I like bananas, but unlike my Twin who would consume them all in one sitting, I want to enjoy 1-2 a day :)

I tried this with only cheap strawberries last month and worked a charm.

You will need:

  • Cheap Bananas! Hunt the reduced section. Those Bananas are almost the best! (Banana Man - My Twin - Knowledge)
  • Extra fruits to make it more interesting.
  • Cheap plastic cups Rubber bands - Extra protection ;)

Peel and Chop

I don't like pieces of skin in my smoothies so I peeled the apples, got rid of strawberries stems, and got bananas opened. Chopped apples for easier mixing.

Mix and Pour

Mixed them in 3 - 2 - 1 ratio (Bananas,Apples,Strawberries), added a bit of water, and pinch of Demerara sugar. You can add whatever you want!

Poured in the cups, not full to allow freezing expantion and covered them with foil. I've added the rubber in case if whole thing wanted to expand too much and to keep it bit more sealed.

Enjoy for Longer!

I will take one out every morning to my car and it will be ready to eat at work for breakfast!

Cheers!
