Spaghetti Bake Dish

Making A Spaghetti Bake dish

  • Wash Hands before beginning
  • HAVE FUN!
  • WARNING! Keep hands away from the pots and pans due to boiling water/hot temperature
  • Never leave the stove unattended!

Obtaining Supplies

  • 1 pot for boiling tomatoes (1.25 liters)
  • 1 strainer, tongs, 1 cutting board and cutting knife
  • 1 pot filled with 2.5 liters of water
  • 1 pound of Barilla Spaghetti Noodles
  • 1 sauce pot
  • 16 oz of organic lean beef
  • Can opener, two 28oz cans of Hunts diced basil tomatoes
  • 1 chopped yellow onion, 6 cloves of chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons, of hunts tomato paste.
  • 4 tablespoons of brag olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped basil
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped oregano
  • 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups of Italian style shredded cheese
  • 2 cups of sharp cheddar shredded cheese
  • One 9 x 13 baking dish
  • Oven Mitts

Creating Pasta

  • PLEASE NOTE that the following steps in the preparation of the dish need to be accomplished simultaneously.
  • Take 2.5 Liters of water and pour into the pot and let it boil.
  • Place Barilla Spaghetti Noodles into the boiling water and let the noodles start to soften. Once the noodles start to soften, start to stir until desired tenderness has been reached.
  • Place the pasta into the strainer and add 2 tablespoons of butter.

Making Meat Mixture

  • PLEASE NOTE that the following steps in the preparation of the dish need to be accomplished simultaneously.
  • Take 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil and add it to the meat stirring pan.
  • Place meat into the Olive Oil and wait until the meat has browned.
  • Reduce the fat of the meat by placing the strainer in the sink, then place the meat into the strainer.
  • Acquire the remaining 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil and pour it into the meat pot.
  • Chop the onion, garlic, basil, oregano, and add each to the meat pot.
  • Take the drained meat and place it back into the meat pot and begin to stir together.
  • Open the tomato paste and cans with the can opener and add it to meat mixture.
  • Add in one tablespoon of Italian Seasoning, salt and pepper for taste.

Making the Tomatoes

  • Take 1.25 Liters of water and add it to the pot.
  • Place all tomatoes in boiling water and let them cook for 15 minutes
  • Remove tomatoes from boiling water and chop them, then add them to the sauce.

Forming Layers of the Dish

  • Obtain a 9 x13 baking dish
  • Design the Spaghetti Bake Dish by layering into several layers.
  • Add the chopped tomato sauce as the base of the bake.
  • Add half of the cooked spaghetti noodles over the chopped tomatoes.
  • Add half of the meat sauce over the cooked spaghetti noodles.
  • Add 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese over the meat mixture.
  • Add remaining cooked noodles over the sharp cheddar cheese.
  • Add remaining meat mixture/sauce over the cooked noodles.
  • Add chopped tomatoes over the meat mixture.
  • Add 2 cups of Italian style cheese as the final layer of this building.

Heating the Meal

  • Set oven to 365 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Place spaghetti bake in oven for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly.

Removing the Dish

  • BE CAREFUL! The dish is extremely hot.
  • Place oven mitts on hands.
  • Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.

Forming the Dish

  • For the dish into servings and place onto plate.
