Space Scene
A space scene I made for the make it float contest
Supplies
Tinkercad
Space
- First make a large rectangle colored dark purple( I personally used 22013e) that covers the entire baseplate.
- Change the rectangles height to 5mm.
- Place partially into floor.
- Create a small 5 by 5 by 5 sphere.
- Copy and paste that sphere and move the copy away. Select only the spheres and repeat until you have as many stars as you want.
- Take some of the spheres and move them up and around.
- Select the spheres at random and change their colors randomly as well
- Move the spheres so they aren’t too dense and put some in the floor rectangle.
- Stars complete
The Astronaut(s)
- Insert a cylinder. Increase its bevel and segments to max.
- Add a head shape of your choice. I chose an oval. I made a second example one with a rectangle head.
- Place the head on top of the cylinder, set both to white
- Copy and paste the head, set it to blue, and shrink it.
- Stick the smaller blue shape into the head partly sticking out.
- Bundle the parts together
- Insert a square. Increase the radius to 5.
- Make the square thinner.
- Attach the square to the back of the cylinder.
- Raise all previous parts into the air.
- Copy the cylinder and decrease it to 10 by 10 by 10. This will be a limb
- Place the limb partially intersecting the cylinder’s bottom with its top corner.
- Copy the limb and do the same on the other side.
- Copy it again and move it up to intersect the cylinder with part of the edge.
- Do it again on the other side.
- You should have something like The image above
- The head may differ depending on the shape you chose
- Group it together in a bundle
- Scatter astronauts through the scene resizing and rotating them to show distance and orientation.
Backdrop
Finally place 2 large rectangles the same color as your floor to act as a backdrop.
