Space ID Scanner!!!

This is an instructable on how to make your own space themed ID card and scanner.and the best thing about it is that you are able to make it with parts you find around your house!!!

Supplies

1.a power source(I used a l-ion battery pack but two double a or triple a battery’s should work)

2.cardboard

3.Aluminum tape(If you don’t have tape you can try to use foil*)

4.eight led lights




This is a diagram to show how it works. when the card with aluminum foil on the bottom is laid across the two other aluminum foil pieces it creates a circuit causing LED 1 to light up the same works for the rest of them.

Cut out a piece of cardboard about 4.5 by 2 inches

Cut the aluminum tape into these shapes

Remove the backing from the aluminum .space the eight pieces of aluminum tape evenly and attach the big piece as shown.

Cut another piece of cardboard slightly smaller than the other one and mark on it where the eight pieces of aluminum foil are. Then set aside for later.

Punch eight holes into a piece of cardboard size does not matter that much make sure that the LED lights can fit into the holes

Glue the LED lights into the Piece of cardboard

Hot glue the piece of cardboard with the LED lights to an Approximately 20 inch long piece of cardboard

Cut a slightly longer piece of cardboard than your first one and bend in the edges.

Put a piece of cardboard on top of your first one and glue as shown(the cardboard in between is to make sure the ID card can fit)

cut a hole in it about this size and put Edging around it

Sorry about this picture is not as detailed. But you have to put two holes forAluminum tape to go through.


then Attach the LEDwires to each of the tape sticking out and connect the other piece of aluminum tape To the battery

and form the piece of cardboard in to a box and attach sides to it as as shown

Attach two strips of aluminum tape to the piece of cardboard you made second (the one you put to the side)

Make sure that it lines up with the lines you made

Insert the card into the scanner

and Press down on the card reader two of the lights should light upThank you for reading have a blessed day
