Space Efficent Itialian Villa

New Project (6).jpg

In the current housing market, rent can be expensive, reaching over $7000 per month in some average-sized homes. Additionally, houses can have too much space, resulting in too much upkeep and wasted space and resources. Currently, small housing such as apartments aren't as appealing to most homeowners. Fortunately, a new home can provide a solution: this small stand-alone Italia-style villa packs comfort, storage, use, and everything else a normal home has with 4 walls, 1 roof, and 96 square feet of space for two.

Supplies

  1. Various wood types
  2. Limestone
  3. Tile
  4. Household appliances(Oven, washer-dryer combo, toilet, etc)
  5. Furniture

This house beautifully emulates classic Italian architecture, featuring chestnut wood, limestone bricks, and red clay barrel roof tiles. It measures 8 by 12 feet and is 9 feet high. The design includes windows in the dining and living areas to maximize natural light and a front door for easy access. Elegant wood trimming enhances the beauty and detail of the exterior walls. The house is topped with a traditional roof that extends to create charming front and back porches.

Sleeping/Resting Area

As you enter, you're welcomed by a cozy resting and sleeping area. The main highlight is the couch, positioned opposite the television and adjacent to storage cupboards for clothes and other belongings. The couch conveniently folds out into a bed, optimizing space. Above the couch is a sleek, modern lamp to provide additional illumination when the overhead lights are insufficient. Directly below it is a window, allowing natural light to wake you up and brighten the space throughout the day.

Office Space/Televison

Directly across from the rest area is the office space and television, thoughtfully separated to maintain a clear distinction between work and rest, despite the proximity. The office area features a minimalist and open wood desk, ideal for working on larger projects. Underneath the desk, shelves serve as bookshelves or additional storage. Above the desk is a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall, providing entertainment without cluttering the space. Above the TV, a lamp offers extra brightness for a more illuminated work environment. When not in use, the desk can be folded down over the bookshelves, creating even more open space. These features combine to create a cozy yet efficient workspace.

Kitchen and Washer

Next is the kitchen space. This compact kitchen is designed to meet all your culinary needs, ensuring you can create the perfect meal. The layout begins with a fridge tucked below sleek marble countertops, providing ample space for food storage. Adjacent to the fridge is a full-sized oven, perfect for preparing complete meals. It comes with a single-tub kitchen sink, a two-burner electric stove, and extra counter space to prepare meals. Above the stove are convenient pot holders to optimize storage space.

On top of that, there is a cabinet to store all your dishes and silverware in their proper places, making everything neatly organized. Compact and functional, this is a great blend of functionality and flair. Across the space from that is the washer/dryer combo. This machine both cleans and drys your clothes, saving a lot of space. Surrounding it is storage, giving you a place to put your clothes.

Bathroom

To the right of the washer/dryer, you'll find the bathroom. This area is thoughtfully sectioned off from the rest of the home, providing you with privacy. In addition to the standard toilet and built-in toilet paper holder, the room boasts a surprisingly spacious shower, ensuring comfort during your daily routine. Next to the door is a well-placed sink for handwashing. This design effectively combines privacy and comfort in a conveniently compact space, making it a practical part of the home.

Dining Area

Across from the bathroom is the final feature of this compact home: the eating area. Strategically placed adjacent to the kitchen, this arrangement makes it convenient to bring food to the table. Despite the limited space, the area accommodates a sizable table, providing ample room for two people to dine comfortably with extra space to spare. The table is positioned right next to a window, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful Italian landscape from the comfort of your cozy home.
