Sourdough Date Muffins
Have you every made sourdough date muffins? Well, set a date on your calendar to buy those dates and start cooking!
Ingredients
You will need:
- Sourdough Starter Pro Tip 2
- 30 grams of sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
- 40 grams of chopped dates
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla paste
- 50 grams of butter
- 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar
Use scissors to cut the dates into small pieces.
Sugar and Baking Soda
Pour the sourdough starter into a bowl. In a separate bowl combine the sugar and baking soda. Then add this to the sourdough starter.
Dates and Vanilla
Add the dates and vanilla paste into the bowl. Stir this all together until it's well combined. The sourdough starter should be very stretchy.
Melt the Butter
Melt the butter, then pour it into the dough and mix it through.
The Final Ingredient
Tip the vinegar into the mix then rapidly mix the dough. Pour it into two ramekins 100 mm in diameter and 50 mm in height.
From Dough to Cake
Bake you mini cakes for 1 hour at 180 C (356 F). With a golden brown crust and a delicious taste we are really happy with how these came up. I hope you enjoy.
