Sourdough Biscuits

Delicious sour-dough biscuits.
Supplies

You will need:
1 cup sourdough starter,
2 or 3 cups all-purpose flour (not including flour needed to start starter),
1 teaspoon salt,
1 teaspoon baking soda,
water,
an oven.
Sourdough Starter
To make your starter you will need, 2 1/2 cups flour, 2 cups of very warm water, and 2 teaspoons yeast.Mix all ingredients in a jar intel mixture is smooth. And let stand it warm place for 2-4 days with a breathable lid. Then put in refrigerator with tight lid intel use. To keep starter active, once a week beat in 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of very warm intel smooth. Then set in warm place for 12-14 hours with breathable lid. After that return to refrigerator with tight lid.

At lest 4 hours before making dough, activate starter by beating in 1 cup of flour and one cup of very warm water. After it has been 4 hours mix all remaining flour (1-2 cups), 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. After dry ingredients are mixed add the 1 cup of starter and use hands to mix ingredients. If needed add water to help ingredients stick together. The dough should be a soft dough.
Cutting Your Biscuits

On a lightly floured surface roll out dough with a rolling pin intel it has a thickness of 1/2 an inch. Then use biscuit cuter to cut biscuits. You will get 8-16 biscuits from this recipe. After you have cut your biscuits, put on a greased cookie sheet.

Set oven to 350 degrees. When oven is ready cook biscuits for 10-20 minutes. Take out biscuits and flip them, then cook for another 10-15 minutes. Once biscuits are done they should be lightly browned. Let cool and enjoy. :)
