Sound FX Box

Wanted to create a Sound FX Board for the office.

No previous experience with electronics, wood working, wiring, or soldering.

Adafruit Board has 16 MB for ogg/wav and 11 switches with different capabilities (basic,loop, random, latch, next).

I connected my boards based on an image I found on an adafruit forum ( reference image is the red/black wired board)

For some reason I had no luck powering the amp and board with a USB battery pack. There seems to be some ongoing issue with the type of USB cable (https://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1...) that is used from battery to board.

Holes created to dimensions of switches and the size of the speakers. I suggest testing on scrap of wood and figuring which of your drill bits create the most snug fit based on the type of switches you use.

Added side switch for battery pack so it wouldn't keep the batteries running. Didn't use a lipoly backpack because I like the ability of being able to hotswap the batteries.

Since the box is going to be vertical I decided to let gravity do its thing and placed the heavier objects at the bottom of the box and velcro'd the breadboard.

I used two different types of speakers since i wanted the audio to be stereo and for it to fit in the box. This box is really loud and can be heard clear across the office.
