I've made an extractor for soldering fume.

Supplies

Material used:

  • Plastic Bottle
  • Fan
  • Plastic tube
  • Power supply
  • Iron bars and angle
  • Bolts and nuts

Tools:

  • Cutter
  • Glue gun
  • Driling machine

Cut the Bottom of the Bottle

Use the cutter to cut the bottom of the plastic bottle.

Fan Insertion

Please take care to air flow direction

Wire Window

Cut the side of the bottle to allow the cables to enter

Wire Connect

Connect the power supply to the fan. Check voltage and current supply.

Fan Sealing

Seal the edge of the fan with the glue gun.

Cut the Cap and Insert the Tube

Measure tube diameter, cut the cap and insert the tube.

Support Assembly

Assembly some iron bars to provide a stable support to the the fan, or use the bottle handle.

The soldering station is ready to be used, free of smoke.
