Solar Powered Jack-o-lantern
So it's Halloween 2021, and all of my friends and families are too lazy to carve out pumpkins and decorate them as the pandemic has dampened their festive spirits. No worries! Using the knowledge imparted on me in by robotics class and the carving skills of my grandmother and we have a solar powered Jack-o-lantern!
Supplies
A pumpkin(You can find them at your local convenience store)
A sharp serrated knife
A marker pen
A solar lamp
Carving the Pumpkin
Choose a large pumpkin and use a sharp serrated knife to cut off the crown. Using a large serving spoon, scoop out the seeds and fibres and discard. Then remove some of the flesh.
With a marker pen, draw a simple outline of a face on the pumpkin. Use a small serrated knife to cut out the eyes, nose and mouth. Always cut away from you in case the knife slips.
Adding the Solar Cell
Disassemble the solar lamp, removing the top end from the main body
Attaching It to the Pumpkin
Hot glue the solar cell to the top of the lamp and just like that you are done!
