Solar Cooker Using Tinfoil and Shoebox!

Today we are going to make a very eco-friendly solar cooker out of tinfoil and a shoebox! This is a very simple build and a great way to cook a meal while camping or even just if you want to try a new way of cooking! This also is a great way to show off your awesome cooking and building skills!

Supplies

Showbox

Tinfoil

Plastic wrap

Tape

Sweatshirt or some sort of insulator

Insulate the Box

use the sweatshirt or whatever insulator you are using and line the box with it! This helps the heat from escaping!

Cover the Inside With Tinfoil

Cover the inside with tinfoil! Make sure it covers the insulator and all the inside of the box!

Cover the Top With Tinfoil

This is especially important as it reflects the sun to cook the food! Cover the inside of the lid and make sure that most of it is covered!

Cover the Opening With Plastic Wrap

Cover the opening with plastic wrap and you can take it off when you need to cook something! This is important! Always replace the plastic wrap when you are about to cook something and keep the plastic wrap on while it is cooking!

Prop It Up! and Cook!

This is the final step! Prop the box lid up so the sun's rays are pointed into the box and wait for your awesome meal to be done cooking! Have fun with this build and know that you are saving the environment! Thank you for reading this and happy building!
