Soft Old-Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies

Follow these easy steps, To create these delicious and simple to make soft oatmeal cookies!

Comfort snacks, at their finest!

Ingredients

1 Cup Softened butter

1 Cup white sugar

1 Cup packed brown sugar

2 Eggs

1 tsp Vanilla extract

2 Cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

3 Cups quick cooking oats

Butter , Sugar, and Brown Sugar

In a medium bowl, Add the butter, Sugar, And Brown Sugar.

With an electric beater, beat until creamy.

Egg and Vanilla

Add Eggs and Vanilla, And beat until well mixed.

Flour, Baking Soda, Salt, and Cinnamon

Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon , and stir into the creamed mixture.

Oats, and Chilling

Carefully, And thoroughly mix in your oats, Until well mixed.

Cover, And chill your dough in the refrigerator for an hour.

Dough Balls

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Roll your dough into a ball, About the size of a walnut.

Roll the formed ball in some white sugar until well coated.

Place on a greased cookie sheet, and gently flatten with a fork, to about a half an inch thick.

Repeat until cookie sheet is full, keeping them about 2 inches apart.

Baking

Bake on the center rack of the oven, for 8 minutes.

When they are done, don't worry if they don't "LOOK" done enough, because they will continue to cook when removed from the oven.

Allow to cool on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes, And then remove to a wire rack until they are cool enough to eat.
