Soft Leather Glasses Carry Case

Untitled_1.112.1.png

First Instructables!

A leather glasses as a Christmas present for my father. He was travelling on a coach and he lost his glasses on the way. So to prevent that from happening again, I decided to give him a thing so that when he’s sleeping when travelling, he wouldn't lose his glasses again.

YouTube Link here on how I designed and made the first one: https://youtu.be/xeaHZSFgd9c

  • Cutter

I used an awl to scratch the edges onto the flesh of the leather. If you have think enough paper you can just directly cut using the template

After the Main body piece has been cut out, cut the main body template into 2 using the horizontal line for the pocket piece (or print out two of the main bodies)

Prepare the Back of the Leather

  • Put some on
  • Spread and remove excess
  • let rest (without letting dry)
  • Rub it in

I did mine laster but now's a good time to add your button for the top flap

Also advisable to add a piece of thin leather to cover the back of the button so it doesn't scratch the lens of the glasses
