Hey momoluvers! It's momo. Thank you all for being patient with me while I took a few weeks off. But I'm back now and so happy to be making instructables again! Let me tell you a little about this craft today; I have an assignment in english class to create a new object out of a previous object. I decided to do a soda can camera because I'm a photographer and i wanted to do a tutorial for you guys! enjoy :)

Supplies

You Will Need:

1. 3 standard sized soda cans (I chose Arizona Tea)
2. super glue
3. super glue applicator
4. small scissors (to poke hole)
5. Large scissors (to cut cans)
6. Optional sharpie (to mark the cans to get the perfect size)

Cut It Up!

Make incisions in the can with the small scissors

Take the large scissors and cut out the entire lid like above.

Make a small incision in the bottom and repeat.

And finally, cut a straight line across the barcode.

Second Can

Take the Sharpie and trace the can you just cut on the new can and cut along the lines.

Superglue

To apply the super glue, Find the barcode on one can and cover it with the other. Take the Glue applicator and apply glue to this area.

Let glue dry for 15-20 Minutes

Connect the Opposite Side

Do the same as you did in the previous step. This is where you can decide how long you want your camera. Mine is a rectangle shape, but a square would look good too.

Lens

15, 16:07.jpg
Take the last soda can you have and cut it in half the same way you did at the very beginning. cut slits going up and down (the same size) every centimeter or so.

Fold these slits over so that the pattern side is now on the inside as you see in the picture.

Attach the Lens

15, 16:07.jpg
To attach the lens, take pieces of tape and make tabs on the lens.

put superglue on the tape if it doesn't hold on it's own (it won't)

Cover

15, 16:07.jpg
cut out an oval shape out of the remainder of the can you have left and use the same method you did to attach the lens.

Button

To apply the button, cut out a rectangular strip and fold it to create tabs. superglue this down as well.

Finished!
