Snowman Plushie Out of a Sock

Today I am going to be showing you how to make your very own snowman plushie out of a sock! It's very simple, so if you are not a master with a needle and thread, don't worry. This is a perfect project for beginning sewers and doesn't require too much sewing. You probably already have everything you need to make it! Let's get started!

You will need...

• A white sock
• Stuffing
• Needle and white thread
• Scissors
• Pompom
• Markers

Fill the bottom of the sock with stuffing. You will want to fill a little less than 1/2 of the sock. Next, feel with your fingers for where the stuffing ends. Insert your threaded needle into the sock as shown in the picture and pull it through. Keep repeating this stitch until you get all the way around the sock. Make sure to keep your stitches about 1/2 an inch apart. Pull both ends of the string tightly and tie them together. I quadruple knotted mine to make sure it wouldn't come undone.

Fill the top half of the sock to about an inch away from the heel. Once you like the size of the head, cut off the top about 1/2 an inch away from the heel. Fold both sides of the sock in and sew the fold using a whip stitch.

Take the heel of the sock and cut along the stretchy part. Next, cut the stretchy part in half. Color the scarf with markers for a pop of color!

Take the heel part that you cut off of the scarf and sew the two sides together using a whip stitch. Then sew the pompom on.

Stretch the hat over the snowman's head. Wrap the scarf around the middle and sew the parts of the scarf that are touching. Use a marker to draw buttons, carrots, and whatever else you would like.
