Snowflake Pattern Gift Wrap
Making your own gift wrap is fun, easy and fairly inexpensive. The snowflake stamp is made by using an eraser. It just takes time to print the patterns, but, your family and friends will love that you created it for them!
Supplies
you will need erasers, I like to use gum erasers 2"X1"X1" (I buy them from SAX, their brand, they are Sax gum art erasers, a doz. cost about $6.00)
larg sheets of light weight paper, your choice of color
ink
roller
small wooden scrap of wood
elmers
sharpie
plexi (to roll ink)
lino cutting tool

Erasers
Design snowflake with erasers
Draw Pattern
Use the sharpie to draw the snowflake pattern design on the erasers
Cut Design
Use lino cutting tool to cut design into erasers. Cut over sharpie marks, then you can add extra detail.
Practice Stamp Print
when all designs are cut, practice a stamp print with each eraser section to be sure the design is cut to your liking.
Roll ink on plexi.
Roll ink on plexi.
Press Stamp
gently press stamp sections into ink that has been rolled onto plexi. If you dont have a roller or plexi you can paint the ink onto your stamp, however, this takes a very long time.
Stamp Sample
stamp gently onto paper, check each section of your snowflake. You may need to cut some lines deeper or add more detail.
Stamp Sample
gently press and lift, dont smear. you are printing with the stamp, not painting.
Print All Stamps
Create Stamp
When you are happy with each eraser design arrange them on the wood scrap and using elmers glue them into the pattern you like.
I use a wood scrap because it doesnt give under pressure like a piece of cardboard might, plus when you clean your stamp the wood can take the water, cardboard would not.
