Snowflake Garland

This instructable will teach you how to make a paper snowflake garland to display during winter!

Legend

Before you begin, this legend will help the instructions be more clear when the paper needs to be cut, folded, or an edge needs to remain attached.

Gather Supplies

Get an 8x11 sheet of paper, a pair of scissors, and some string.

Fold the Paper

Fold one of the corners over, flush to the other side as shown.

Cut the Top Off

Cut the top rectangle off to leave just the folded triangle.

Fold in Half

Fold the triangle in half down the middle two times.

Round the Corner

Round the corner opposite of the folded edge.

Cut Shapes Out

Cut shapes out of the edges. IMPORTANT: Make sure to leave at least one part of the folded edge uncut to keep the snowflake together.

Unfold

Unfold the snowflake to reveal what it looks like!

Repeat to Make More

Repeat steps 1-7 for however many snowflakes you’d like. Switch up the shapes and their placement in step 6 to make each snowflake look unique.

String the Snowflakes

Run the string through one hole on each snowflake.

Hang the Garland

Hang the string to display your snowflake garland.
