These Snicker Doodle Cookies are a delicious baked good for when you're craving some dessert. They are cakey, and soft on the inside (just how I like them 😃). They taste so yummy and they bring back memories from going to the fair 😋. I hope you enjoy making them and comment on how they taste!

Supplies

2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

1 egg

1 and 1/3 cup of granulated sugar

1 cup of unsalted butter (softened)

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1 and 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon

1 teaspoon of baking soda

2 teaspoons of cream of tartar

3 cups of all-purpose flour

Topping

2/4 (or 1/3 and a half of 1/3) cup of granulated sugar

2 teaspoons of cinnamon

Mix together the flour, cream of tartar, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt together in a medium bowl and set aside when done. 😆

In a larger bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until creamy and smooth (for about 2 minutes). Add in the egg and vanilla extract and keep mixing until combined. Scrape the sides of the bowl and put the mixer on low speed (or if you are mixing by hand, just stop mixing for now). Slowly add in the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients a little bit at a time. 😊

Getting the Cookies Ready to Bake

Roll the cookie dough into balls about 1.5 tablespoons big. Roll the balls in the cinnamon sugar. Once they've all been rolled in the cinnamon and sugar topping, sprinkle more on top. Set the cookies about 3 inches apart on the baking sheets. 😉

Baking the Cookies

Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes. Once the timer goes off, take them out with oven mitts and place them somewhere that won't get damaged by heat. Let them cool for about 7 minutes and use a spatular to transfer them to a wire rack (if you don't have a wire rack, tin foil will work just fine). Sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon sugar on top of them. 💕

ENJOY!!
