S'more Pizza Please!

We always want some more pizza, but we love the s'mores at the campfire too. So, we dreamed up a s'more pizza complete with a mini campfire to roast mini marshmallows. A perfectly sweet staycation!

Candy Glass Flames

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

3/4 cup water

Red food coloring

Steps:

1. Heat sugar and water in saucepan with tall sides and heavy base

2. Stir constantly

3. Bring to boil and stop stirring

4. Boil until it reaches hard crack stage (when drop is placed in cold water the sugar should become hard and may make a cracking sound)

*this process creates extreme heat and should be done carefully by an adult with precaution to not touch liquid.

5. Add food coloring (red)

6.Drizzle on a baking sheet that is covered in foil and then chill in the refrigerator.

Crust

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups flour

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1 stick of softened butter

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

1. Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt

2. In a separate bowl: cream together butter and sugars then add egg and vanilla and mix

3. Slowly mix in flour, baking powder and salt

4. Press dough onto pizza pan and shape

5. Bake for about 8-10 minutes. Edges will be slightly brown

6. Allow to cool

Topping

Ingredients:

Graham cracker crumbs

Chocolate chips or chunks

Mini marshmallows

Steps:

1. Layer graham cracker crumbs, then chocolate, then marshmallows on top

2. Broil for a few minutes until marshmallows begin to brown

3. Remove and place on cooling rack

Decorate

Ingredients:

Candy flames

Stick pretzels

Chocolate covered pretzels

Candle

Mini marshmallows

Steps:

1. Place candle in center of pizza

2. Add chocolate covered pretzels as logs

3. Add candy flames

4. Put marshmallows on ends of stick pretzels and place around "fire"

5. Light candle and roast marshmallows on sticks
