Smoked Tandoori Paneer Tikka

Hello Everyone,

Are you carving for a dish that is mouth watering and incredibly easy to make. Well, the search is over. I am sharing with you guys the most loved and popular dish of India, Smoked Paneer Tikka.

it is basically Indian cottage cheese marinated in yogurt and authentic Indian spices and herbs and barbequed in smoker or tandoor.

This is a must try dish, it just melts in your mouth and the fine and subtle taste of Indian herbs and spices will just take over your mind.

Lets get started !

Supplies

  • Tandoor or Electric smoker

FOR THR RECIPIE

  • Paneer ( cottage cheese )/ can also use tofu or chicken.
  • Yogurt ( 1/2 cup )
  • Ginger garlic paste ( 1 tbsp )
  • Mustard oil ( 1 tbsp)
  • Red chili paste ( 1 tbsp)
  • Green capsicum (1/2 cup )
  • Onions ( 1/2 cup)
  • Turmeric powder ( 1/4 tsp )

Preparing the Marinate

For this step,

  1. Add yogurt, ginger garlic paste, and mustard oil in a bowl and mix them well.
  2. After this add herbs and spices to your batter and salt for the taste, mix them well.

NOTE : if the yogurt is not sour, add some lemon juice and if the the yogurt is sour you can use it as is.

Marinating the Vegetables and Paneer

Now we will add our cut vegetables and cottage cheese in our prepared batter and mix them well.

TIP : Cut the paneer in cubes.

Grilling

Now we are ready to grill our Paneer tikka

Place them in the griller or electric smoker and wait for 10 to 15 minutes.

Once done take them out and serve them with fresh lemons.
