Take Everything You Will Need..

First of all we should take all sensors, cables and the Board of course.

You will need:

01x LCD Screen

01x Temperature Sensor

01x Touch Sensor

01x Vibration Sensor

01x Rotary Angle Sensor

03x Leds(Red, Blue, Green)

01x Buzzer

03x Led Sockets

01x Light Sensor

Long Wires.

Beginning to Build the House Control...

DSC02256.JPG

Now you have to put wherever you want the LCD Screen in your house.

I put mine on the roof but you can put where you want.

Take the opportunity to put the cable inside the house.

The Alarm...

DSC02258.JPG

Now we have to put the alarm in a specific place. It will be important to us.

We need to hear it wherever we are.

I just put mine near the LCD sensor.

The Earthquake Sensor...

You can leave the board of the vibration sensor inside the house but the part which gets the measure you should fix in the ground of the house as I did.

The Light Switch and Rotary Angle Sensor...

DSC02263.JPG

Now it is the time to put our light switch and our rotary angle sensor in your house.

Remember that the light switch will work with the indoor light and the rotary angle sensor will work with the LCD Screen.

That is why I put the rotary angle sensor near the LCD Screen.

The Intel Edison Board...

DSC02266.JPG

You should put your Intel Edison board inside your house, all sensors have to connect to the board so remember that you need long wires as we said.

The Temperature Sensor...

DSC02271.JPG

Our temperature sensor has to be inside our house.

So you can just plug it in the Intel Edison board.

Remember to use the Analogic Port 0 (A0).

Lights

DSC02264.JPG

Now you can choose where you want to set your lights.

We have three lights:

Indoor Light

Outdoor Light

Warning Light

I just put my Indoor Light on the Edison board, the Outdoor Light above my front door and my Warning Light on the roof.

Using the LED Socket connect your Outdoor Light in the Digital Port 7 (D7), your Warning Light in the Digital Port 4 (D4) and your Indoor Light in the Digital Port (D8).

We also have to put our light sensor on the roof because it is going to receive the light and decide if it should turn the outdoor light on.

Connecting the Whole System...

DSC02287.JPG

Here we are...

Now, you have to connect each sensor with the board.

Pay attention to do not make any mistake.

Rotary Angle Sensor > Analogic Port 2 (A2).

Vibration Sensor > Analogic Port 1 (A1).

Temperature Sensor > Analogic Port 0 (A0). We already did this one...

Light Sensor > Analogic Port 3 (A3).

Touch Sensor > Digital Port 6 (D6).

Buzzer > Digital Port 2 (D2).

The Code...

Then upload this code to your Intel Edison Board...
