I used to store screws, bolts and similar small materials in my workshop in plastic boxes or in their original cardboard boxes.

I wanted to make wooden boxes in order to be more useful and look more beautiful. I've looked at many examples on the internet. Then I made my own design. I designed boxes in suitable sizes for my workbench, which I made from used wood.

While designing these boxes, I used pieces of thermowood paneling that could be thrown away or burned.

I made 20 boxes in total. I joined the boxes with my favorite finger joint method.

As a result, it was a project that I really enjoyed doing and liked very much. I have also evaluated many old wooden materials.

I hope you like it.

I rip cut all the woods to be 85mm wide. Then cut them exact length which is 200mm and 150mm.

Let's go to the next step.

I'm trying to some alternatives for joinery, especially finger joints.

I decided on the 12.7mm (1/2") one which that is strong and looks great.

Rabbets cut with 8mm bit on the bottom sides for box bases.

Let's make some sanding... Before assembly, I sand the interior surfaces.

Then gluing all together and let it dry all night.

I used the same scrap wood for the cabinet and also used scrap plywood.

I glued two pieces together to get a wide piece.

And the Final Step

Firstly I make fillets on all sides against breakage.

Then placing cabinets on the workbench. I drilled large holes in the boxes as handles.

And I finaly filled the boxes with hardwares.
