Small Garden, Big Painting Attractions!

Ever since lockdown was experienced Home is the one spot that has become a theatre, park, entertainment zone etc. To say frankly, lockdown created an itching sensation to find more ways inorder to make it more attractive, fun and relaxing zone.

And a garden whatever size it is, is the one place to go outing within the home zone itself!

So i started adding decorative/fun elements all over my Small Garden!

Basic supplies - Enamel paint

Basic supplies :

Coconut shell

Salt paper

Process :

1. Take a coconut shell that is little broad and more like a bowl. When you place in the ground upside-down it should stand firmly.

2. Smoothen the outer surface of the shell, with salt paper.

3. Draw lines to colour over the shell, as the lady bug.

4. At first, i tried the colouring with crayons. But after sometime, it started to fade the brightness and hence the colour.

5. Now go ahead and paint the shells with colours of your choice.

6. I used few plastic pieces, cut in round shape and attached to the shell with the help of glue gun.

7. After completing the full painting, i added dots over the body of the bugs with black paint and curve (like smileys) with white enamel paint.

Now, the bugs are ready to be attached to any tree branch with wood glue/super bond. Or the bugs could be placed over the soil, to bring more attraction to the ground.

Nothing is comparable listening to bird chirp in a garden right? Where the chirp will be brought by real birds around the garden, lets build some bird figurines that more resemble a bird family to add some attraction to t he spot!

Basic supplies :

Round shaped objects, here i have used cap of energy drink bottles

Toy car tyres

Plastic strips, here i have used the strips that comes along with fashion earings

Metal nails

Glue

Enamel paint

Metal paper pins

Process :

Pierce holes into the bottle caps, to insert eyes for the birds

Cut over the plastic strips, to create beaks for the birds

You may colour the tyres, caps before fixing them to appropriate places. As i had some changes made, after fixing i had to pull them out and colour and then fixed.

To some cement pots, i added human eye/mouth structure with white/portland cement and applied emulsion/paint to it.

Process :

I have used Portland cement and little amount paint powder(if required in colour variation) poured it into plastic bag so that i could cut a small portion at the end to use the cement as piping(like how we do writing over cakes) to draw lines/shapes onto the pot.

Later used, enamel paint to highlight the shapes and emulsion paint to colour over the pots.
