Smackatron 9000 - Smack-Compatible Accessibility Button
The Smackatron 9000 is a button designed for people who cant use the smaller buttons that are typically included in game controllers or keyboards. It features a large button area, which allows the user to accurately hit the button without precise movements. It serves as a cost efficient alternative to more expensive assistive buttons.
Supplies
Print the Main Assembly
Make sure to use PLA, or alternatively very stiff TPU. PETG is known to be too brittle and the springs can often break. The total print time is usually around 2 hours, however it will depend on your printer. 15% gyroid infill is recommended.

Apply Copper Tape
Apply copper tape to the top of the raised section in the middle, making sure to apply it evenly and smoothly. Also make sure to cover at least one side of the tabs on the end of the Smackatron. Also apply the tape to the oppisite surface directly above the raised section.
DO NOT PUSH HARD ON THE TABS WHEN APPLYING THE TAPE! They are not designed to be a load bearing component, and may break.
Attach Alligator Clips
Take 2 alligator clips and attach them to the dedicated alligator clip tabs on one side of the Smackatron. Ensure that the alligator clips are not attached to deeply and protrude past the tabs. This may cause the alligator clips to get damaged when the button is pressed.
Plug Button Into MakeyMakey
Plug one of the aligator clips onto the ground plane of the MakeyMakey, and connect the other alligator clip to whatever you want the button to activate. Plug in the MakeyMakey, and confirm that when the button is pressed, the light on the MakeyMakey lights up.
