Slow Cooked Pepper Steak
This is a simple easy lazy man’s meal that takes about 5 ¼ hours to make in a slow cooker. So if you have a slow cooker or a crock pot with a timer you can make this before leaving for work and it will be ready to eat when you come home.
You can serve this on a bead of rice or with sides.
Ingredients
4 cups Beef Broth
¼ cup Soy Sauce
2 cloves crushed Garlic
2 tablespoons crushed Ginger
2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
½ teaspoon Pepper
2 tablespoons Corn Starch
1 lb. Beef steak or strips of Beef
1 Red Bell Pepper
1 Green Bell Pepper
1 Yellow Bell Pepper
1 Good sized or 2 small Onions
Fresh Parsley
Preparation
Prep time 15 minutes.
In a slow cooker or crock pot place; beef broth, Soy sauce, crushed Garlic, crushed Ginger, brown sugar, pepper, corn starch, and mix with a whisk.
Cut into strips beef steak; onions, red, green, and yellow bell peppers, add them to the sauce.
If you have a timer on your slow cooker or crock pot set it to cook on low for 5 hours.
Serve
After 4 ½ hours make steamed rice; when the rice is cooked serve the pepper steak on top of a bead of rice and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
