Slow Children Playing - Made With Bucket and Signs (Kid Alert)
Made a Slow Children Playing Sign using a bucket while kids are playing. Warning: Read your city/state laws with placement that is allowed. For example you may only be allowed to place in your grass or edge of your driveway.
Supplies
1 - 5 Gallon General Bucket
1 - Wooden Stake
2 - Sign - Use poster-board or cardboard box or garage sale signs
2 - Picture - Photos printed out by Printer or Markers
1 - Flat Screw Driver
1 Glue or 2 3M - strong enough to hold sign to wooden stake examples can be super glue, wood glue
Tape (optional)
Create the Sign
- Personally I used two old garage sale signs.
- Place 3M front and back on wooden stake and/or use glue (super glue, wood glue).
- Place 1 sign on front and 1 sign on the back of wooden stake.
- Wait up to 5 minutes for supplies to settle.
- Image search for a Slow Children Playing photo.
- Print out the photo and tape or glue to your signs.
- (optional) use a marker and write out the words large enough for drivers to see. Use this as an opportunity for kids to help decorate the sign.
Bucket Modification
- Grab a 5 gallon bucket which can be found at most home hardware stores.
- If you have any wire handles remove them.
- Flip over the bucket.
- Using your Flat Screw Driver - Pierce the bucket just smaller then your wooden stake when inserted.
- Note: It should be slightly hard to place inside the bucket so it cannot easily move once inserted
- Place your sign with wooden stake into the bucket.
Summary
I have been extremely happy with this makeshift.
