Slider Card

Hello again from Paper Chaser TO!

This slider card is one of my favourites because of how easy it is to make and how fun it is to slide in and out. This template, in particular, holds a maximum of 6 - 2x3" photos and features an easy to close tab and slot.

• Slider Card Template
• Cardstock
• Scissors
• Ruler
• X-Acto Knife
• Tape
• Cutting Mat
• Double sided tape

Once you have your template printed out, cut and separate each part.

We'll start with the card base. You will need to align the blue squares to assemble the full template. After you have it taped together, cut the template out from cardstock. Start with an x-acto knife and cork backed ruler to cut the inner lines. Then score along the grey lines before cutting the whole thing out.

This template can be scaled to any size and can be assembled with very minimal adhesive. Now we'll cut the sliding pieces from cardstock.

The photo mats measure 2-1/4x3-1/4" - cut out 6 of these to cover the card completely.

The sliding mechanism of this card is owed to a simple plastic bag. Use a thick, good quality bag to cut a strip 3-1/4" wide. Snip off the edge of the bag and wrap it loosely around Section A of the card base. Cut the plastic bag to size.

Now we will start assembling the slider card. Crease along all the score lines of the card base. Use double sided tape to create a loop with the plastic bag around Section A and cut off the excess plastic. Add glue onto the 3-1/4" edge of the plastic and place the slider card into place.

Flip everything over and add glue to the opposite edge of the plastic and put the second slider card into place.

Fold the card base together and slip the tab into the slot to secure the card closed.

Finally, glue all of the photo mats into place, and you've got yourself a slider card!
