Sink Pail

When there's no running water, a sink pail is handy for washing your hands or taking a shower.

Cut the Hole

For this project, you will need a pail with at least one flat side and a water barrel tap. I also used an O ring and some silicone but they can be omitted if your seal is good.

  1. Make a hole close to the bottom of the pail the size of the thread portion of the water barrel tap.
  2. Carefully cut the hole with a knife. You can use a drill and drill bit if you're really carefully but the chances of ruining your pail are a lot higher.

Attach Faucet

  1. Put a little silicone around the hole. Put the O ring on the thread and push the thread through the hole from the outside. Place the washer over the thread on the inside of the pail and then screw on the nut and tighten it.
  2. Add water.
