Single Row 'perler Beads' Bracelet
This bracelet is a variation on my perler beads bracelet. This was my fifth instructable ever, published over 2,5 years ago. Looking back at it and making a variation was really fun to do. Instead of making two rows as I did there, I only made one row. Even though you end up with a smaller, delicater bracelet, you need about the same length of elastic cord.
I think I prefer this bracelet over the first one, simply because it ended up looking like a nice extra touch to go with matching bracelets. I also didn't use perler beads for this bracelet, but if you would want to you could. Any type of tube shaped beads will work fine actually.
What I really like about these beads is their size. The fact that they are so small also helps to give that delicate look.
I hope you like it!
Materials
To make a bracelet like this, you will need:
- beads
- elastic cord, at least 3 times the size of your wrist
- scissors
The First Bead
Start by adding the bead to the elastic and make a knot. Leave a bit of cord to knot later. Once it's pulled tight, make a second one to secure the first knot. Slide the knotted part to the top of the bead.
The Weaving
Add a second bead to the cord. Let the string go through the first bead and back to the second one. That last part isn't necessary for the first bead, but it is for the other beads.
Adding Some More
Add more beads using the technique explained last step.
Closing
Once the bracelet has reached the right size, you'll need to close it. Loop the cord through the first bead and back through the last. Repeat this with the other end of the cord and knot them together.
Wear It!
And that's it! I really hope you liked this project, if you did I would love to know. I would love to see the result if someone decides to make one!
