Single Bowline on the Bight* Soft Carabiner

Use this as a substitute for a light duty metallic carabiner.
I used ABOK 1057 to make this project.
*Note:
Strictly speaking this knot is only in the bight until step 7.
The bowline on the bight structure remains.

Leaving a 6" tail Bring the working end (WE) in a Z shape.

Bring bight 1 under the WE.

Bring WE beside itself to the right forming a long loop.
Bring the end out so it is even with the end of the tail.

Grab the bight and bring it over two, under two, over one.

Move A up next to the WE.

Tighten the knot.

Tie the WE and tail together in an overhand knot.
The top of the bight should be at the mid-point of the knot.
You can use the stopper knot of your choosing here.
Operating the Carabiner

Bring the end of the long loop up to the bight.

Place the loop over the bight.

Bring the overhand knot through the bight.

Pull on the loop to lock the carabiner.
