Single 3D Print Nautical Compass Rose Clock With Over the Shelf Components | Nautical Decor | Clocks | 3D Printing | Quick Project | Beginner Friendly

Compass rose-inspired 3D-printed nautical clock decor.

I created this single print, simple, robust clock inspired by a compass rose found on maps for a family friend's birthday. He is a big sailor and absolutely loved the gift. I hope you all will also make people smile with it.

I have also included the Autodesk Fusion F3D Files so you can remix the design if you want to customize it. Enjoy!

Supplies

  1. 3D Printer (I used an Ultimaker S5)
  2. PLA Filament (I paused my print in the middle and switched from white to red to increase the depth perception)
  3. Clock kit (Amazon US Link for the one I used)
  4. Print File (Provided)
  5. Printer Slicing Software
  6. ****(OPTIONAL)**** Double-Sided Velcro Strips ****(OPTIONAL)****

***Optional*** - Customize Design

If desired, you can customize the clock with the included F3D file! You can add things like text with initials or dates, or much more. The possibilities are endless!

Slice STL and Print

Upload the attached STL file to your slicer of choice (I used Ultimaker's Cura but the choice is yours) and put your print on! A few hours later, you will have your beautiful clock.

Remove From the Printer and Enjoy

If desired, you can hang the clock (like I did in the photo above) using two command double-sided velcro strips.
