In this instructable I have used fusion 360 of Autodesk.

This instructable is for the simulation study.

In this I have used model and simulation workspace of auto desk fusion 360.

I have studied simulation for longitudinal forces of magnitude 10 N.

In this I have used a block of steel.

In this I have studied about stress ,displacement, safety factor, reaction force and

strain on the steel block.

In this step I am in the model work space of fusion.

Then I have taken the top plane.

Then I have drawn a centre rectangle.

In this step I am in the model work space of fusion 360.

Then I have extruded the rectangle drawn in previous step.

In this step I am in the simulation work space of fusion 360.

Then I have applied structural constraint to the bottom surface of

steel block.

In this step I am in the simulation work space of fusion 360.

Then I have applied a 10 N force on one of the side face.

Then I have applied 10 N force on the opposite face of the steel block.

Then I have applied the solve operation on the steel block.

In this step I am in the simulation work space of fusion 360.

Then i have studied about stress acting on the block.

The unit of stress used is MPa.

The blue region shown in the picture demonstrates ,where in the

block stress is minimum.

The red region shown in the picture demonstrates , where in the block

stress is maximum.

Stress is defined as force acting per unit area.

Stress is a tensor quantity.

Tensor quantity have direction , magnitude and the point of application.

SI unit of stress is pascals or newton per meter square.

Minimum stress value is 1.21E-04 MPa in this case.

Maximum stress value is 0.01224 MPa.

In this step I am in the simulation work space of fusion 360.

Then I have simulated the body for displacement caused due to the application

of force applied.

The blue region shows where displacement is minimum on the steel block. due to the

application of force applied.

The red region shows where displacement is maximum on the steel block due to the application of

force applied.

The SI unit of displacement is meters.

Displacement is the vector quantity.

Vector quantity have both magnitude and direction..

The minimum value of displacement in this case is o mm.

The maximum value of displacement in this case is 1.05E-06.

In this step i am in the simulation work space of fusion 360.

In this step i have founded out factor of safety.

Safe load is defined as maximum load divided by factor of safety.

In this case maximum factor of safety is 15.

In this case minimum factor of safety is also 15.

In this step I am in the simulation work space of fusion 360.

In this step I have studied for the reaction force.

The blue region on the steel block shows minimum reaction force.

The red region on the steel block shows maximum reaction force.

SI unit of force is newton.

In this case minimum reaction force is 0 newton.

In this case maximum reaction force is 0.4414 newton.

In this step I am in the simulation work space of fusion 360.

In this step I have studied about strain on steel block.

The red region on the steel block represents maximum strain.

The red region on the steel block represents minimum strain.

Strain is defined as the change in length divided by original length.

Strain has no units because it is the ratio of lengths.

In this case maximum strain is 9.767E-08.

In this case minimum value of strain is 7.514E-10.
