Simple Cardboard Pumpkin Decoration
Hi,
In this instructable i will show you how to make a simple pumpkin decoration, these are incredibly easy to make and can be done in about 5 minuetes
This instructable is also a bit of a revamp of one of my first instructables from last year and was also my first ever instructable to be featured so it feels quite nice to go back and update it and i hope you enjoy the update
Tools and Materials
Materials
1 A4 sheet of orange card or heavy weight paper
1 bit of black card or heavy weight paper
1 bit of green card or heavy weight paper (not pictured)
a toilet roll tube
Glue dots or double sided tape
Tools
Scissors
Pencil if you want to draw out the eyes etc before cutting them out
Cutting It Up
Take your A4 piece of orange card and cut it in half across its shortest length so you get 2 A5 sized pieces
in the same direction cut them in half again
and again
and again
Until you have 16 strips about a centimeter in width
Sticking Them On
Take a strip of the orange card and put a glue dot at both end on the same side of the card/
Stick one end at the top of your toilet role tube so it stick up away from you.
Curve the strip it back down on itself and stick it to the opposite end of the tube to it forms a handle shape.
Repeat this all the way round the outside of the tube with 8 of your strips.
Now take your remaining 8 strips and attach one end to the inside of the tube, placing it so that it overlaps 2 of the outside strips.
Then curve the strip so that its other end sticks inside the opposite end of the tube.
Repeat this all the way round the inside of the tube with the remaining 8 of your strips.
Finishing Touches
Cut out eyes, nose and mouth from your black card and attach them with glue dots.
take a bit of green card and cut it into spikes. roll it into a tube and attach it inside the tube with glue dots.
Curve the "leaves" out a bit and tadah!
Quick and easy pumpkin decoration.
