The three green rules are Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
This is a very simple project for decorating; quite often you will find you have leftover ceramic tiles after remodelling your kitchen or bathroom. Instead of throwing them out they can be used to make simple and quick hotplates and coasters, to put hot pots and cups on that match your kitchen.

The supplies you need are.

Sheet Cork
Leftover Ceramic Tiles
Glue

The tools you need are.

Hammer
Hole Punch Set
Cutting Board

Making Pads or Feet

You can buy pads that peal and stick or you can make your own from the sheet cork from a pin board.
With the hammer and the hole punch set, punch holes in the cork on the cutting board.

Attching Pads

Take the pads that peal and stick and attach them to the tiles, or take the cork centres from the hole punch and glue the centres to the tiles and let the glue set. In a matter of minutes you have hotplates and coasters.
