Simple and Easy Wax Flowers

So I was just playing around with a candle over some water and decided that when the wax dripped into the water it made a pretty cool looking flower-y thing. So I decided to make an Instructable. Enjoy! (P.S. my computer camera is broken, so if you have any problems please let me know in the comments and sorry for the inconvenience.)

Supplies

  • Sink
  • Lighter
  • Any type of candle, preferably birthday for the color

Water Time!!

So what you're going to do is plug your sink's drain then fill it with enough water to stop the wax from sticking to the sink. (about 1-2 inches)

Big Wick Energy

Next, you're going to grab your candle and lighter and light the candle. Without burning your fingers, tilt the candle enough to have the flame touch the candle enough that it will start to drip onto the water.

Final Project!

BOOM! When the wax hits the water, there's a 0.000000000000000000001% chance that your sink will explode and cause you to go into crippling debt, but don't worry. The other 99.99999999999999999999% chance is that you will end up with various sizes of flowers, to be used for whatever you need! Thanks for reading my first Instructable, and godspeed!
