This are the pinecones I picked off right of the ground! If you don't have any pinecones in your area you can buy them in dollar stores or in garden nurseries!

Tools and Supplies

Pinecones

Plastic Cup

White Chalk Mineral Paint

Water | Stir Stick

Pour the Paint in a Cup

I chose a white paint color so that the pinecones will look like they are bleached. I poured about 1-cup(8 ounces) of paint in a plastic cup.

Mixing Water

Add also 1 cup of water and mix them up. This will serve as the whitewash.

Submerge the Pinecones

Submerge the pinecones into the whitewash, pinecones tend to float so you can push them using a stick. This will help the pinecones to have full coverage of paint.

Dry

Dry the pinecones in a safe and clean area.

Optional Step

This is optional but I decided to leave the other half of my pinecones unpainted leaving them in their natural color. You can also use other color of paint as long as it is water based. You can even add glitters to them! Here, I've used white so the can look like they are bleached. What do you think? Where would you place these cuties? They would look gorgeous in a Christmas wreath or Christmas Tree! I hope you like this simple makeover. Happy Holidays! https://salvagedinspirations.com/bleached-pinecones-with-no-bleach/
