Simply Scrumptious Stuffing
Stovetop stuffing can be bought for cheap but making it at home can be just as cheap, almost as easy and twice as delicious.
If you prefer your stuffing to be less moist, omit the butter.
You will need:
Stale white bread - around 6 slices
Celery - one stick
Onion - approximately 1/4 cup once chopped
Poultry seasoning: 1/2 tsp rosemary, 1/4 tsp each; thyme, ground sage, basil, parsley & salt, and a pinch (or 1/8 tsp) of pepper
Butter - about 1/8 cup - optional
Turkey - (to roast in & serve with)

Bread
Crumble up your slices of stale bread in a bowl and set aside.
Add Flavouring
Mince or dice one stick celery and 1/3 small onion (approximately 1/4 cup).
Mix Poultry seasoning;
1/2 tsp rosemary
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp ground sage
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp parsley
1/4 tsp salt
& a pinch of pepper
Cube 1/8 cup butter.
(Omit the butter for drier stuffing.)
Add all of the above to the bowl of bread crumbs.

1/2 tsp rosemary
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp ground sage
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp parsley
1/4 tsp salt

Cube 1/8 cup butter.

Add all of the above to the bowl of bread crumbs.
Mix & Squish
Get your hands dirty and toss the stuffing lightly first before squeezing between your fingers just enough to get the bread crumbs to absorb some butter and vegetable juices.
Stuff
Fill your turkey with the stuffing, prepare your bird and roast.
Once the turkey is roasted, remove the stuffing and place into a serving dish with a large spoon.
