Simple Roast Beef Wraps
Sometimes you need something quick and easy to make but still filling and full of flavor. These simple roast beef wraps pack a bit of a punch with a hit of creamy horseradish in the mix!
Makes 6 Wraps
Ingredients:
- 6 Burrito Sized Tortillas (could use a flavored variety too like sun-dried tomato or spinach)
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 3 oz Creamy Horseradish
- 1 lb Deli Roast Beef (at least 12 slices)
- 6 slices Cheddar Cheese, halved
- 8 oz Alfalfa Sprouts
- 1/2 cup Bacon Bits (real bacon)
- 1/2 cup French Fried Onions
Supplies
Cutting Board
2 Spatulas (for spreading cream cheese and horseradish)
1 Knife
Spread the Cheese
Start by spreading a portion of cream cheese across the center of the tortilla. Put a smear of cream cheese on the top edge of the tortilla (see the photo). This functions as "glue" to hold the wrap together. Next put a squirt or two of the creamy horseradish and spread it evenly over the cream cheese. You want to get it as even as you can or you get what I call "hotspots" - that nose-tingling eye-watering sensation when you get a large bite of the horseradish.
Layer on the Fillings
Next add two slices of roast beef, folded in half. Then both halves of a slice of cheese. Then add in the alfalfa sprouts, bacon bits, and french fried onion.
Roll It Up!
First, fold up the sides of the tortilla so you have roughly an inch of overlap on each end. Then roll the tortilla up from the bottom until you reach the cream cheese "glue" patch on the other end. Slice on the diagonal and serve with your favorite side. We had Smoked Gouda Kettle Chips.
