Simple Origami Bookmark for Beginners
You will only be needing a piece of paper (A4 or square origami paper is recommended)
You can also watch the video if you need extra help!
There is also a different way to make this bookmark, you can find the steps for this in the video above.
If you want to use the easier way, you can continue reading!
Step 1- Making Your Paper Square (If Needed)
First off, start by folding one corner as far down as possible.
Then cut off the extra paper which is remaining.
After unfolding, you should have a square.
Step 2: Folding
Start off by first tilting your paper 45°, to look like a diamond. Now you can take two opposite sides and fold them into the middle. You can find the middle by simply folding in half.
Step 3- Folding
Now, you will have to fold your paper so far into the middle, make sure to do this along the line running from top to the bottom. It should now look like the photo above
Step 4: Folding
After that, lay the paper with the longer side on the top, and the shorter side on the bottom, like the photo shown. Now, you will need to fold down both the corners into the bottom. This should leave you with a diamond shape like so.
Step 5:Folding
Now flip it over. You should see a small pocket. Open up this fold, and now fold the two "fangs" you made in the last step. Look at the picture for more guidance. Now crease all folds nice and neatly.
Now You Are Done!!
This bookmark can fit snug on the side of the books, and is visible through the side. Now you wont lose your page while reading a book!!
Extra Step: You can decorate in any way you want! Colour it, Draw on it, use your imagination!
