Simple Origami Bird

This is a simple easy-to-make origami bird in flight that looks pretty cool.

Supplies

For this project you will need one piece of square paper that's any size.

Fold the paper in half, then fold it in half again.

Unfold the last fold and fold the top down as shown above. Fold the top section of that last fold back up; it should poke out less than the bottom part. Then fold the whole thing in half with a valley fold.

Fold both of the flaps of paper down.

Fold the front part down to make the head. Fold the pocket closest to you down so it sticks out at the bottom. The edge should almost be aligned with the outer edge of the wing. Do the same on the other wing. Open the wing and fold the section of paper sicking out inward. Repeat on the other side.

Open the tail of the bird and fold the paper inward on both sides; it shouldn't be in half.

That's about it! The next step is optional.

Curve the wings as shown above to make it look more like a bird in flight.
