Simple Margarita Jelly
A quick and easy recipe that doesn't use many ingredients.
Ingredients
1 pack lime jelly cubes (we used Hartley's)
285ml boiling water
100-200ml tequila
2 Margarita glasses
Measuring jug (pint)
Salt (optional)
285ml boiling water
100-200ml tequila
2 Margarita glasses
Measuring jug (pint)
Salt (optional)
Making the Jelly
Put the jelly cubes and boiling water into the measuring jug and stir until the jelly has dissolved.
Add tequila up to about the pint mark (we went just over, it's up to you how alcoholic you want it).
Stir in the tequila.
Pour into your glasses.
Put in the fridge and leave to set overnight.

Rimming the Glasses
This step is optional but looks good and is easy to do.
Once the jelly has set, you can add a salt rim to the glass.
Get a side plate and pour a ring of salt onto it.
Dampen the rim of the glass (I wiped lime juice around it but other juice or water should work fine).
Tip the glass upside down and move the rim through the salt until covered.
And that's it, you're done!

Notes
A real margarita contains triple sec as well so you could substitute about a third of the tequila for triple sec if you have any, we didn't and wanted to keep it cheap so went for a simple tequila and lime mix.
You can use any glass you like, or put it into shot glasses or anything else you can think of!
