String, twine, rope of any kind
Tools:
Scissors
Cut 4 equal lengths of string, 60” or longer. Use your height or wingspan to measure.
Fold your string in half. Tie a knot at the top, leaving a loop.
Divide the strings into pairs of 2. Knot each pair of strings about one handspan down from the top knot.
Divide the Strings. Pair together strings 2 and 3, 4 and 5, 6 and 7. Knot each pair about a palm’s width down from the first row of knots. Working in a circle, join strings 1 and 8 at the back, and knot.
Repeat step 4. Knot this 3rd row about 3 finger-widths down.
Repeat step 4. Knot this 4th row about 2 finger-widths down. Gather and knot the ends together.
Trim your ends and hang.
