Simple Holographic Audio Visualizer

This is a tutorial of how to make a simple hologram-esque display for music.

• 3D printer
• Kindle Fire (I used an HDX 3rd Generation, but any should work fine as long as its not too heavy)
• Clear acrylic / plexiglass sheet
• Some form of adhesive (preferably matching the color of / blending in with the color of the print)

3D print the attached files.

Cut a sheet clear acrylic / plexiglass sheet to a size of 8"xThe length of the longest side of the Kindle. If you are unsure how to, this should help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Axo_bTyl1gQ.

Take one of the prints and place the acrylic / plexiglass sheet into the diagonal facing rail. Aligning it with the corner of the bottom holder / stopper and the edge of the stand, adhere the sheet to the print, In this case I used electrical tape, and would advise that you use some form of tape as well.

To make the video for the "hologram", you can follow the tutorial above, or find another if you prefer to use another software, but the most important thing is that the background is black, if not, you wont be able to see the audio visualization. After your video is created, transfer it to the Kindle (e.g. emailing it to yourself, uploading to a Dropbox or Google Drive).

Place the kindle on the lips of the print (as shown above), start the video, and move the Kindle back and forth until the result is clear and positioned to your liking.

The project is now completed, you can create more videos and enjoy!
