Coffee is much better when you use freshly ground coffee beans. However, when using a burr coffee grinder, one common frustration is the little bits of coffee grounds that stick to the grinder. If you use it frequently, the static electricity that causes those bits of coffee to stick around can make your coffee grinder look dingy and dirty. Additionally, sometimes grinding coffee makes a real mess in the kitchen. Static, coffee, and grinders can be a huge headache! However, there is a surprisingly simply solution to these common problems.
Prepate Your Coffee Beans

Add your coffee beans to the grinder hopper.
Add Few Drops of Water
Next, take a slightly wet paper towel and squeeze a few (2-3-4) drops of water into the hopper in three or four locations over the beans. Don't add too much water!
Grind the Beans As Usual
Next, start the grinder and grind the coffee beans as usual.
Open the Bin to Retrieve the Coffee Grounds
When you open the bin to retrieve the coffee grounds, you'll be in for a surprise. There will be no reason to tap the grinder to release grounds that are stuck inside the grinder, and no coffee grounds will be stuck to the outside or edges of the coffee ground bin. The coffee grounds will easily drop into the French Press with no residue stuck to the grounds bin.
When you use this coffee hack, the mess of grinding coffee beans will be no more!
