Simple & Fun DIY Screen Printing Project on Wood Plaque

This project only takes a few hours and is fun and simple!
Create Your Stencil

Create your EZScreen stencil according to EZScreenPrint's instructions. Should only take roughly 30 minutes from start to finish to make your screen
EZScreen's come ready to use, so no fussing with liquid emulsion or cleaning screens. YAY!
Screen Print the Elephant on Wood

When your stencil is complete, lay it on the wooden plaque and load a squeegee with black screen printing ink for the design. You can use blue painters tape to help hold it down or firmly hold it in place with your other hand. Allow the ink to dry before moving on.
Start Filling in With Color

Start coloring in the elephant with fabric markers (yep, fabric markers work on wood!). I have chosen Darvy fabric markers for this project
All Colored

Hurray! You have colored in the elephant and it's looking amazing. Just a few more steps...
Prepare to Paint the Borders

Tape off the top of the wood plaque with blue painters tape and using a nice brush, use the same black screen printing ink to paint the border of the plaque.
Black Border

Allow the paint to dry. The project is looking better!
Coating

Lay your wood plaque outside, and spray with a few layers of polyurethane to seal and coat the design. It gives it a nice, finished look.
Done!

The beautiful wood plaque is finished. Now it just needs to be displayed for everyone to see!
